eCommerce experts, Sana Commerce have recently launched their The Manufacturing & E-Commerce Benchmark Report for 2021, delivering insights into trends on digitalisation, specifically in the manufacturing sector.
Sana commissioned independent research firm, Sapio Research, to survey more than 800 manufacturers undergoing digital transformation across a variety of industries in the United States.
The report reveals that eCommerce accounts for nearly half of manufacturing sales revenue and that due to the events of recent months, 94% of respondents would change their market strategy as a result of the recent uncertainty. Respondents also stated that economic uncertainty has driven 67% of manufacturers to shift their market strategies and take the approach of selling directly to the consumer with 63% moving to platforms such as Amazon or eBay.
The report, which can be download for free via Sana’s website, also looks at what’s motivating manufacturers to make long-term investments in digital strategies, common eCommerce challenges that manufacturers face, what steps manufacturers are taking to mitigate e-commerce challenges and how manufacturers across a variety of industries compare in their digital transformations and much more.
