Headless commerce

Headless commerce is a modern approach to e-commerce architecture where the front-end (or “head”) of the e-commerce platform is decoupled from the back-end (or “body”) that manages the core e-commerce functionalities such as inventory management, order processing, and payment processing. With headless commerce, the front-end is a separate application that communicates with the e-commerce platform’s API to fetch the necessary data and display it to the user. This allows for greater flexibility and customization of the user experience across different channels, including web, mobile, and social media, without having to make changes to the underlying e-commerce platform. Headless commerce can also enable faster development and deployment of new features, as the front-end and back-end can be developed and updated independently.
