Bounce rate

The bounce rate refers to the percentage of website visitors who leave the site after viewing only a single page, without interacting further with the site or converting into a customer. A high bounce rate may indicate that the site’s content or user experience is not meeting the visitor’s expectations or needs, or that the visitor was not able to find what they were looking for on the site. A low bounce rate indicates that visitors are engaged with the site and are more likely to continue exploring and potentially make a purchase. Bounce rate can be measured using website analytics tools and can be used as a key performance indicator (KPI) to assess the effectiveness of the site’s content, design, and user experience, and to identify opportunities for improvement. However, it should be noted that in some cases a high bounce rate may not necessarily indicate poor performance, such as when the site’s goal is to provide quick and easily accessible information to visitors, rather than encouraging them to stay and explore further.
