A Chinese medical products manufacturer with operations in the United States is making an acquisition to try a hand at growing a niche B2B marketplace business.
AnPac Bio-Medical Science Co. makes early cancer screening and detection tools. It plans to operate a business-to-business ecommerce food platform focused on the sale of Asian-sourced food products.
To accomplish that objective, AnPac Bio-Medical Science is spending $2 million in a cash and stock deal to acquire Fresh2 Ecommerce Inc., a B2B ecommerce platform focused on connecting Asian food suppliers and supermarkets in the U.S.
Fresh2 Ecommerce provides an online direct selling platform for food suppliers such as:
- Food companies
- Manufacturers
- Agents
- Importers
- Wholesalers to supermarkets
Fresh2 Ecommerce is also expected to help supermarket operators to identify the source of products. That would enable them to select their food suppliers more efficiently. In addition, AnPac Bio-Medical Science says it from food sources to last-mile delivery.

AnPac Bio-Medical performs a suite of cancer screening and detection tests. They include CDA (Cancer Differentiation Analysis), bio-chemical, immunological, and genomics tests.
