This case study from Intershop features Galatea, Scandinavia's leading alcoholic beverage wholesaler. Galatea's extensive selection includes more than 1,000 different beers, wines, and spirits from around the world. Their main customers are B2B buyers from the horeca sector (hotels, restaurants, cafes), as well as the company "Systembolaget", which has the exclusive right to sell alcoholic beverages directly to consumers in Sweden.
Galatea faced challenges with its ecommerce platform, which was outdated and lacked flexibility, scalability, and user-friendly features. A powerful digital B2B sales channel was needed for a digital transformation of their business model.
To address these, Galatea partnered with Intershop to revamp their online store by implementing powerful out-of-the-box B2B functionalities and convenient self-service tools.
